Final Katzine issue of 2015!

Final Katzine issue of 2015!

I’ve made it to my final issue of the year!

To celebrate a full year of zines I’m running a special offer for issue 4… if you pre-order this issue (or subscribe) in the week before it launches at Thought Bubble, your copy will be signed and sketched in by me! Existing subscribers will get this too. So the deadline for pre-orders is Saturday the 14th November, and orders will ship on the 16th!

Issue 4 can be pre-ordered here (Etsy) or here (Big Cartel.)

Issue 4 is a special issue – one long comic telling the story of the trip I took in August from Iceland to New York via Canada and New England. It was an intensive and overwhelming trip and I really enjoyed translating the experience to paper. From the strangeness of Iceland’s landscapes to the emotional impact of returning to my aunt’s house in Canada after twenty years. From the clapboard houses of Canada and Maine to my first time experiencing the craziness of New York City.

It’s been really fun and useful creating these zines… I’ve found it a great way to push myself to make a lot of new work regularly and to start to figure things out comics-wise. It’s a great outlet for me to try new things and play with what works visually and in terms of story-telling. I look forward to exploring more next year! If you’ve been a subscriber, or bought Katzine online or in any of the awesome bricks & mortar shops that sell it, thank you so much for your support.

Right, time to start thinking about the 2016 issues!

If you’re going to be at Thought Bubble next weekend and want to say hello, I’ll be at table 40, near the entrance in the Royal Armouries Hall!
